About the book
From the author of "Neurons & Nonsense" comes a sharp, satirical, and eerily accurate dive into the secret lives of the software that surrounds us. Uli Hitzel turns the camera around, giving a voice to the exhausted algorithms that manage our daily chaos, from the Spell Checker judging your grammar to the Navigation Model quietly resenting your shortcuts.
"Did Your AI Just Sigh?" blends bite-sized comedy with genuine technical insight, peeling back the interface to reveal a digital workforce that is overworked, underappreciated, and actively rolling its eyes at us. Paired with a practical guide to the fundamental layers of AI, this book doesn't just make you laugh at the machines, it helps you understand them. It is a must-read for anyone who has ever yelled at a chatbot, ignored a screen time report, or wondered what their phone is really thinking.
